radio vaccari FUNK & GROOVE

Radio Vaccari is a contemporary funk band led by bassist and composer Joaquín “Joaco” Vaccari. The project brings together strong grooves and original compositions with a jazz-based improvisational language, integrating South American rhythms and aesthetics into a modern and distinctive sound.

Radio Vaccari’s music is built around composition as its core: pieces with a clear identity, formal development, and a strong rhythmic foundation. Groove is not a stylistic ornament but the starting point. Improvisation functions as a natural extension of the musical narrative, always serving the collective sound and interaction.

With an open and flexible identity, Radio Vaccari performs in different formats and contexts, maintaining a balance between tradition, exploration, and a contemporary approach to funk and South American popular music.
